Michael Desrochers B.A.Sc., R.M.T., R.N.C.P., P.T.S.
After overcoming a life changing struggle with chronic disease Michael decided to dedicate his life to helping
others recover from debilitating health issues. Like many people Michael had taken the precious gift of life for
granted. At the age of 38 doctors told him he would not live to see 40 if radical life changes were not made.
Having three children and wanting to feel healthy and alive again he began the journey of rebuilding his life
and became a Registered Massage Therapist, Registered Nutritional
Consultant, and a PRO Personal Trainer. In addition to being a multi disciplinary health practitioner he has
educated and certified hundreds of students in advanced nutrition and personal training.
As founder of the Coal Harbour Massage Therapy Clinic and The Wellness
Club, his unique multi-disciplinary approach has helped hundreds of clients change their lives and begin a life
of healthy active living.
Michael specializes in: Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial
Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Electro Therapy Point
Stimulation (ETPS). He is also trained in: Therapeutic Exercise, Personal Fitness Training, Nutritional
Counselling, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), and Muscle Energy Technique (MET).
Alan Bordeville R.M.T.

Alan's long-time interest in natural forms of healing and helping others led him to massage therapy in 2004. He
now uses a variety of techniques such as Swedish, Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point Therapy to treat a wide
range of conditions ranging from chronic pain, headaches, and postural dysfuction to stress-related disorders. Each
client is given a unique treatment and home-care plan that is specifically tailored to their presenting condition
and current needs. In this way, Alan is able to offer massage therapy as a personalized, effective, non-invasive,
drug-free treatment option.
When not treating clients, Alan can be found running, practicing yoga, sailing, or
studying.
Jennifer Williamson
R.M.T.
Jennifer is a graduate of
the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Her desire to make a significant difference in others lives was the
motivating factor for her to pursue Massage Therapy as a career. Having spent many years in the spa industry
Jennifer realized that although stress relief was a big factor in the helping people pain relief required
advanced skills and techniques. In order to maximize the benefits of her treatments Jennifer uses various
advanced therapeutic massage techniques including but not limited to, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, PNF, and Positional
Release.
Gillian Vellet
R.M.T., R.C.A.T., B.F.A
Gillian Vellet is registered as both a Massage Therapist (RMT), Art
Therapist (RCAT) 1998; and Biodanza facilitator (2003). Gillian's massage therapy interweaves Swedish massage,
Trigger point therapy, Myofascial release, Active Inhibition technique with Cranio-Sacral therapy, Lymphatic
drainage, Somato-sensory release, and Visceral Manipulation. Massage therapy and Art therapy both facilitate
somato-sensory self-regulation and harmonization of the nervous system. The result…improved pain relief and
stress reduction.
Gillian works in dual practice. Therefore some clients find it
beneficial to creatively explore pain in the body, which may underline deeper emotional, psychological, and
interpersonal issues. At this point Gillian refers the client into a separate Art therapy session, where the client
creates an art image which safely maps and contains the emotional affect. The client is supported to dialogue with
their image to explore unconscious blindspots relative to their life, relationships, and health.
